Med Headlines - Abbott has announced a worldwide medical device correction for users of Precision Xtra™, Optium™, ReliOn® Ultima, Rite Aid® and Kroger® blood glucose meters manufactured after January 31, 2007. Device display screens may malfunction after a drop on a hard surface. Incorrect glucose readings or lack thereof, may result in risk of hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia. No injuries have been reported to date.
