Description: CT remains the most widely used neuroimaging technique for the evaluation of patients with suspected acute ischemic stroke. Quantitative CT-based scoring systems (eg, the Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score [ASPECTS]) are useful for identifying patients who are unlikely to recover fully despite thrombolytic therapy.
